Synopsis

In this engaging farce, the results of a science class blood test force proud, self-reliant Sarah Mathews (Whoopi Goldberg) to tell her pretty teenage daughter, Zora (Nia Long), that she was conceived through artificial insemination. As if that weren't enough of a shock, Zora then discovers that not only is her father a cretinous used-car dealer, he's white, to boot. Ted Danson plays the sperm donor who begins to feel the pride of fatherhood.
