Synopsis

This trashily enjoyable western is flashily directed on a tiny budget by Michael Winner, with Charles Bronson as the eponymous mixed-race Apache slowly picking off the posse that is chasing him. Bronson - in a role not unlike his urban vigilante in Death Wish - is his usual craggy, monosyllabic self, while Jack Palance and James Whitmore complete a formidable trio of muscled ugliness. There are occasional hints that Winner and writer Gerald Wilson intended a story about racism, but mostly this is a spaghetti rip-off, filmed in Spain with a sharp eye for blood, sweat and death by rattlesnake.
