Synopsis
Any film about the Amish community is bound to draw some sort of comparison with Peter Weir's thriller Witness. Here, FBI agent Lolita Davidovich goes to Iowa to investigate a series of barn burnings, but the solution of the crimes is of less importance to the success of Arthur Allan Seidelman's TV movie than the friendship that develops between the outsider and widow Patty Duke. The drama is far from original, and it's inevitable that the two women discover they have much more in common than they expected, but the performances of Davidovich and Duke are out of the top drawer.
